2009 Strategic Management Practices Discussion Group

On the third Friday morning of each month, a group of twenty or so alums gathers in a loop conference room to explore and assess current trends in strategic management practices.  Participants prepare by reviewing a handful of selected readings, then jump into a free-ranging discussion sharing their experience and perspectives on how they have applied these principles within their own organizations.  Ten or fifteen minutes before the close of discussion, we have a take-away round where each participant shares his or her key conclusions from the discussion.  Everybody gets a chance to learn something new, expand their network, have fun, and still make it to the office by 9 AM.
